Cook Time: 6 to 8 hours in slow cooker
1 lb. very lean ground Meat
1 lb. Stew Meat
1 smal Onion, chopped
4 oz. can diced Green Chiles
14.5 oz can Diced Tomatoes
14.5 oz can Red Beans (drained)
14.5 oz can Pinto Beans (drained)
8 oz can Tomato Sauce
1 stalk Celery, diced
2 tablespoons Chili Powder
1/2 tablespoon Cumin
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Black Pepper
1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 cup Water
*variations: substitute chicken for stew meat, or beer for water
It’s called TwoDat because you have to go back for seconds!
Brown the meat in a sauce pan then rinse under hot water in a spaghetti strainer to drain off the fat.
Put all of the ingredients into a crockpot, set on low. Go run a few calls for about 6 or 8 hours and come back to the station and enjoy over corn chips or a baked potato!

I've been trying out different Chili recipes and they'd come out O.K. but nothing to brag about. This one is Perfect! And yet; so simple.
About an hr. before your guest arrive, dump it in an old pot and tell everyone you slaved over the hot fire all day.
I heard a lot about deer chili. Can I use venison with this recipe?
OK; my 1st thought was "a Louisiana Chili"?? Come on man. But since everything else I tried from the "Cajun Land" was fantastic I was curious; I must apologize; this is so different, so mellow; it just melts in your mouth with flavor...and no heartburn..wow. lock up the kids and hold the weiners, this ones for adults.
In the mood for Chili tonight. Will try it with the beer broth.
